Carrot Poriyal  / Carrot Stir Fry


                     
                         Carrot Poriyal Recipe / Carrot Stir Fry

                                               
Ingredients : 

Carrot - 1 cup 
Onion - 1/4 cup 
Green chilli - 1 no 
Grated coconut - 4 tspn 
Mustard- 1/4 tspn
Urud dhal - 1/4 tspn 
Salt to taste 
Oil needed 
Curry leaves needed


Method :

Heat a pan add little oil and saute mustard, urud dhal, curry leaves.

Add chopped onion, green chillies and saute well. 

Add grated carrot,sprinkle salt and little water and cook for 10 minutes till the raw smell goes off. 

Add raw grated coconut and mix well. 

Saute for few minutes in a low flame and serve hot. 

Carrot poriyal is ready to serve.

Ingredients :

    Carrot - 1 no
    Water melon - 1 piece
    Sugar needed
    Lime - 1/2
    Salt a pinch


Method :

  • Peel the skin and grate the carrot.

  • Clean out the seeds and slice the water melon into pieces.

  • Grind the grated carrot with watermelon.

  • Filter it. Add required sugar ,lime juice and salt.

  • Grind everything with ice cubes for few seconds

  • Cool carrot melon juice is ready.

Beetroot Thoran Recipe / Beetroot Stir Fry

Beetroot Thoran

  • Peel off the skin and cut the beetroot in to small pieces.

  • Saute mustard seeds, urud dhal, red chilli and curry leaves.

  • Add chopped onion and saute well.

  • Add beetroot and saute well.

  • Sprinkle salt and little water and cook for10 -15 minutes

 For grinding :

Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Chilli powder -1/2 tbspn
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Garlic pod - 4 pod
Curry leaves needed

  • Grind the listed ingredients in to coarse form.

  • Add grinded masala and mix well.

  • Saute for few minutes in a low flame and serve hot.

  • Beetroot thoran is ready.

Fruit Punch Recipe / Mixed Fruit Punch

  • Take juices from apple, pine apple and orange and filter it.

  • Add lemon juice and sugar mix well.

  • Refrigerate for half an hour.

  • Add soda , ice cubes and serve chill.

Tomato Soup Recipe / Microwave Tomato Soup

Microwave Tomato Soup

Ingredients :

Red riped tomato - 5 nos
Onion - 1 no
Beetroot - small slice
Cloves - 2 nos
Cinnamon - 1 small piece
Corn flour - 1 tspn
Butter - 1tbspn
Pepper as needed
Salt as needed
Bread needed
Oil needed

Method :

  • Slice the onion, tomato and add beetroot piece, cloves, cinnamon. Add 2 cups of water .

  • Keep it in microwave high and cook for 10 mints.

  • Remove cloves,cinnamon and beetroot and let it cool down.

  • Grind and filter it.

  • Add butter and mix well.

  • Add the corn flour with 2 tbspn of soup and mix well without lumps and pour it into soup mixture.

  • Again cook in a microwave high for 4 mints.

  • Meantime slice the bread into cubes and deep fry in oil.

  •  Add salt and pepper to taste.
  •   Serve hot by adding fried bread pieces.

  • Yummy tomato soup is ready.
