Prawn Kuruma / Shrimp kuruma


Heat the pot with little oil, add 1/2 tspn of fennel seeds, curry leaves, green chillies with onion, ginger garlic paste and saute well.

Add sliced onion, tomato salt and saute well.


Add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, little salt,cleaned prawns and saute well.


Add 1/4 cup of thin coconut milk to the mixture and boil it for 5 mints.


Let the mixture becomes thick, add the thick coconut milk and cook it for sometimes.

Heat in a low flame and let the gravy becomes semi solid


Prawn Kuruma is ready.

Garnish with coriander leaves

Ideal for rice and pulao.

Ingredients :

Cleaned Prawns -300 gms

Sliced small onion - 1/2 cup

Tomato - 1

Green chillies - 1

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn

Coconut milk -1/2 cup

Coriander powder - 1/2 tspn

Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn

Coconut oil -needed

Curry leaves needed

Salt to taste
